Unfortunately you’ll just have to wait for this round to clear up. But preventing it next time should be possible.

One thing that I found to work very well is to apply a generous size dab of 10% benozoil peroxide to the area after the waxing was finished. I would mix it with some noncomedogenic oil and cover the entire back. None of my first timers ever complained about acne after a back wax. Other helpful steps would be to shower right before your appointment and wear a clean 100% cotton shirt the day of. There is always bacteria all over our skin and waxing essencially leaves a bunch of tiny holes behind until the pores close up over the next day. Washing first strips a large percentage of the bacteria and strips the oil which is their food source. Applying the benzoil peroxide discourages bacterial growth for the next several hours after treatment when pores are most vulnerable to infections.
